

‘Anezina’ is a traditional Cretan house, carrying the culture and values of Crete since the end of the 18th century, that it was built. The building managed to survive through significant social, economic and cultural changes, showcasing an unbelievable adaptability and endurance in time.
The house was named after Anezina, the first woman who lived in it and the one who raised and nurtured the national hero, Ioannis Kouromichelakis. She was a woman with values and a vision. A woman who knew not only how to survive but also how to contribute to a better world.
